01. WHAT TO WEAR

Choosing outfits is one of the most important parts of your session, and it does not need to feel overwhelming.

  • Bring 1 to 2 outfits that feel like your everyday style
  • Add 1 outfit that feels a little more dressed up or bold
  • Soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully, but color is always welcome if it fits your personality
  • Avoid large logos or busy patterns that pull attention away from your face
  • Choose clothing with texture or movement like denim, knits, flowy fabrics, or layers
  • Make sure everything fits comfortably so you can move naturally

Tip: Lay your outfits together ahead of time to make sure they coordinate well without looking too “matchy”

02.  Hair, Makeup, and Grooming

A little preparation goes a long way toward feeling polished and confident.

  • If you are getting a haircut, aim for 2 to 3 days before your session
  • Nails should be clean and simple or freshly done if you prefer a polished look
  • Makeup should feel like an enhanced version of your everyday style
  • Avoid trying anything brand new the day of your session
  • Hydrate well the day before for naturally fresh-looking skin

03. WHAT TO BRING

These small items can make your session smoother and more flexible.

  • Your outfits (hung or neatly packed)
  • Shoes for each look
  • Touch-up items like lip gloss, powder, or hairbrush
  • Any props that represent you such as sports gear, instruments, books, or hobbies
  • Water to stay hydrated
  • Optional: hair ties, clips, or accessories for quick changes

04. DAY BEFORE YOUR SESSION

A little preparation helps everything feel easier on session day.

  • Get a good night’s sleep so you feel rested and refreshed
  • Try on all outfits one last time to make sure everything fits well
  • Pack everything ahead of time so you are not rushing
  • Stay hydrated and avoid anything that leaves your skin feeling tired or dry

05.  DAY OF YOUR SESSION

This is where you get to relax and enjoy the experience.

  • Arrive a few minutes early so we can start calm and unhurried
  • Trust the process. You do not need to know how to pose, I will guide you through everything
  • Expect a mix of movement, laughter, and natural direction so nothing feels stiff or forced
  • Bring your personality. The best images always come when you feel like yourself

The goal is not perfection. It is capturing you in this exact season of life in a way that feels real, confident, and timeless.
