FAQ

How long have you been doing this?

I've been taking photos for thirteen years. It was more of a second income on the side while I was working a 9-5, until I quit the everyday work force and went full-time with my photography business in 2020. I have been so fortunate to follow my dreams and make this love of photography into a career!

Whats your turn around time?

I hand edit each image in your gallery, taking time to pay attention to details and make sure you have beautiful images to cherish. Galleries are typically delivered in 6-8 weeks. Weddings and Elopements see photos back in about 10-12 weeks.

How do we get our photos?

I provide all my clients with online digital galleries to download fully edited, high resolution images to your smart device or a computer.

How many photos do we get?

The amount of images you get back varies, depending on the session type and cooperation of subjects. I typically provide about 50-75 photos per 60 minute session. Wedding collections typically see 100-/+ photos per hour of coverage.

What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?

We’ll reschedule your session at no extra cost. If you're only in the area for a few days, I suggest choosing a date closer to the start of your stay so we have time to reschedule if needed.

How long does a typical session last?

Most portrait sessions last about 60 minutes. Mini sessions are 15-30 minutes, and weddings vary based on your package.

Can I bring props or pets?

Yes, absolutely! Let me know ahead of time so I can plan the location and timing accordingly.

How do you work with kids who don’t like taking photos?

Don’t worry—my sessions are relaxed and playful. I take a child-led approach to help everyone feel comfortable and have fun.

Do you travel?

YES! I love traveling for sessions. I have traveled across the country and to Mexico for sessions. I require a travel fee for any sessions more than 20 miles from South Haven, MI.

Are you LGBTQ friendly?

I certainly am! I believe everyone deserves to have their story documented without judgement or discrimination.

Do you provide raw or unedited photos?

No. RAW files cannot be opened on most phones or computers without the proper platform to process them. Unedited images do not represent my work - you can think of them as the raw “ingredients” of a photo that will need to be processed in order to bring out the picture's full potential.

How far in advance should I book my session?

I recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance, especially during busy seasons (summer and fall). Weekend dates fill up quickly!

How do we book?

I'm so excited you asked! You can fill out my contact form for more information on your desired session, or go to my Sessions page and click the "book a session here" button! All sessions require a non-refundable retainer and a contract signing due at booking.

What should we wear for our photos?

Once you book, if you need help with your wardrobe, let me know and I’ll send you a style guide with tips on colors, coordination (not matching!), and how to look your best on camera!

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Retainers are non-refundable, but sessions can be rescheduled with advance notice. I’ll work with you to find a new date.
